Would you hold hands with me? Not because you love me, or because you must take care of me, or because I’m in distress. Would you hold hands with me just because I asked you to?
Palm to Palm was a year long daily action of holding another persons hand everyday for 30 consecutive minutes. Across the year Lou held hands with over 200 people, some of them were her closest friends and family and some were strangers that she will never see again. In addition to this daily practice Lou created a performance lecture, which she toured across Britain before being invited to perform at the Gallery West in Toronto.
Images and blog entries detailing Lou’s experience can be found here and below you will find some reviews of the work.
